None of us are safe from the attack of criminals. Some are not even afraid to attack in broad daylight on a crowded street.
A separate briefing is required with the children, because they are naive and cannot recognize the evil intent of the stranger.
The protection rules are suitable for any age - knowing them, you will feel more confident and, in the event of an attack by the thief, do not get confused.
Remember what you need to do so that the kidnapper does not take you by surprise - because this is what he expects.
10. Do not stop
A criminal can know your name in advance, in the hope that you will respond. While you are standing and waiting for the one who called you to approach you, the offender will take you by surprise - having entered into a conversation, you will no longer be able to leave, there are psychological reasons for this.
Firstly, you will be curious to find out who is talking to you and what he wants from you, and secondly, it is impolite to break off a conversation and leave in the middle of it.
The best thing you can do is to overcome your curiosity. When they call you, say: “I'm in a hurry” and, without stopping, go with a quick step to a crowded place.
9. Refuse to help
Criminals know how to charm - Ted Bundy, for example, stopped the girls on the street and asked them to help him. He used the naivety and kindness of the girls, approached them with crutches and a bandaged hand, saying: “Help me, please, bring the groceries to the car”, “Show me the way”, etc. When the girl approached the maniac’s car, he hit her something heavy on the head and pulled into a car.
If you are asked for help and go somewhere together - refuse, even if you are afraid to seem impolite. Many sociopaths take advantage of this, knowing that a polite person cannot refuse.
8. Do not talk
When you walk down the street and someone comes up to you to talk to - this, of course, may mean that you seemed to someone an interesting person, you wanted to meet you.
When people come to you at a concert or festival - this is one thing, but if you start talking to you in a deserted area and a person seems suspicious to you - something is wrong here ...
It’s better to protect yourself - for this, move away from the stranger a few steps back and say loudly: “I don’t know you, and I won’t talk,” and run as hard as you can to people. Don't be afraid to look stupid - safety is more expensive.
7. Ask people for help
Criminals are afraid of hype and crowds. If you notice that someone is watching you or is obsessively trying to get to know each other, you can hardly rely on your own strengths, well, unless, of course, you are engaged in some kind of battle ...
Do not try to hide behind the house, in the porch - on the contrary, you should go where there are a lot of people.
If a person is not far behind, there is only one way out - go to people, go to the market and ask for help from visitors, staff. Say, "That person is following me." The persecution may be repeated, so it is better to call the police.
6. Scream if you are not allowed
They can block the road in broad daylight. For example, you are a girl, walking along the street, and suddenly some company of guys is blocking your path.
Standing in silence is not an option, start screaming as loudly as you never shouted before ... Someone will definitely hear you. If you stand silently, then criminals can take you away or steal something from you.
The child should be told that if someone is blocking his path, he should also shout loudly: “Help! I do not know this person!" and run towards people.
Many will respond to the call of the screaming child, but the kidnapper will be hiding. If a car is chasing you, you need to get lost somewhere, and never sit down with strangers, even if they are policemen.
5. Run to a public place
So that you do not have to think on the spot what to do in a situation when a suspicious stranger approaches you - never stay alone in a deserted area, not knowing the roads and ways.
Well, if you have any means of self-defense with you, but if it is not, then there is little chance of escape. But you can try.
If you know that somewhere nearby there is a public place - run with all your might there. Ask staff to call the police immediately.
4. Do not be afraid to disturb loved ones
If you notice someone’s eyes on yourself, for example, sitting alone at night in a bar, and then, leaving it, you see that this person is following you, call someone back at the place you were in or in to any other.
Do not be afraid to bother your family or friends - people who love you will not blame you for paranoia and for waking them up with your phone call.
It is possible that you are really mistaken, but if not? Ask someone to come after you, or call a taxi if there is nobody to ask for. Do not go to a stop, knowing that it is deserted.
3. Do not sleep
If you were captured, and you understand that you do not have the strength to deal with the kidnapper, do not stop loudly shouting: “Help! I do not know this person! Save! Call the police!"
Try to fall to the ground - cling to bushes, benches, etc. Along the way, throw your things in your pockets, in a backpack or bag.
Attract attention, do not let the kidnapper calmly drag you into the car without leaving evidence. You can have nail polish with you when you are dragged somewhere - pour it.
2. Behave strange
The kidnappers hope that their victim is an ordinary person with primitive thinking, and, as a rule, they develop their moves, actions and words in advance.
Do not take what you are told - they can easily deceive and mislead you, gaining time and depriving you of vigilance.
In addition to screaming, enter the kidnapper in a stupor. Let him puzzle over what you told him or showed.
Behave as inappropriately as possible - point your finger somewhere to the side, and in the meantime, take something heavy, hit it on the head or run away, of course, screaming at the same time.
1. Engage residents
If they pester you at the entrance, do not shout: “Help!” It is possible that apartment residents will close their doors more securely ...
In Russia, they are in no hurry to help another, because everyone is afraid. People will start calling the police, but they won’t open the doors for you. Better shout: "Fire!" Make a noise - knock on every door, throw something out the window, etc.
If they pester you at the entrance, the main thing is do not stand silently. The faster you start making noise, the more likely you are to stay safe and sound.
