We, living in a civilized society, may be horrified by what is written in the Bible if we decide to read it. But how can one understand the commandment referred to by parents who advocate “morality”: “If anyone lies with a man as a woman, then both of them committed an abomination: let them be put to death, their blood be upon them” (Bible, Leviticus 20 :13).
But besides this, in the Bible there are many other commandments, from the reading of which thrills. Imagine how a believer will relate to those who violate the laws of the Bible ... And we don’t even know who it was written and when.
10. Decorate your body with tattoos
Tattoos are a common occurrence for us, so people express their individuality. We can see them at the TV stars on the screen, at the passer-by, or we can even be tattooed ourselves. Do you know what needs to be done with those who have tattooed themselves on their bodies? From the Bible: “Do not make grooves on your body and do not pierce yourself with writing. I am the Lord. ” (Leviticus 19:28) This may surprise us - what is so wrong with a cute cat on the foot or the moon on the neck? However, the author of the Bible sees something terrible in the tattoo.
9. Trim beard and hair
Fashionistas, tremble with fear! Are you used to shaving your mustache, cutting your hair? In general, are you trying to look good? According to the Bible, this cannot be done. A true Christian is a caveman who does not know what a razor and scissors are. The Bible often refers to the fact that first of all you need to take care of the soul, and not think about the appearance. But what about harmony? Is it normal to take care of one thing by “launching” the other? After all, the body is the temple of our soul ... For some reason, the author did not think about it: “Do not cut your head around, and do not spoil the edges of your beard.” (Leviticus 19:27)
8. Turn to fortune-tellers and read horoscopes
Horoscopes are something that we can read excitingly in the mornings with a cup of coffee, learning how our day will go. Just don’t say that horoscopes are a hoax, and you don’t do that. Maybe now not, but we all at least a couple of times out of curiosity read about our sign. Is it true or not - we don’t know ... In any case, reading a horoscope is harmless? Horoscopes do not advise us of something bad. But that’s not the point, reading horoscopes and visiting fortune-tellers means breaking the Bible law: “Do not go to the callers of the dead, and do not go to wizards, and do not lead yourself to desecration from them. I am the Lord your God ”(Leviticus 19:31)
7. To lose manhood
No, this does not apply to all persons with disabilities ... But only to specific cases. If you read Hemingway’s book “Fiesta”, then you know what happened to the character of his book - in one of the wars a man lost his manhood. Such situations occur infrequently, agree? But if suddenly a man in a war or in another situation loses due to an explosion of male dignity, then he may not hope that he will go to heaven: “Whoever has a crushed yatra or a child-bearing member is cut off, he cannot enter into the company of the Lord " (Deuteronomy 23: 1)
6. Help her husband when he got into trouble
Female fights are different from male fights - women use nails to scratch eyeballs, cling to hair, etc. If there is such a situation in life that you have to fight in front of your beloved and she comes to the rescue - keep her at a distance from the male organ of his rival, for the Bible says: “When men fight among themselves, and one wife comes up to take her husband from the one who beats him, and stretching out his hand, grabs him by the shameful oud: Then cut off her hand: let her eye not spare is yours". (Deuteronomy 25: 11-12)
5. Eat rabbit and ham
True Christians, as well as Jews and Muslims, should refuse to eat the meat of these animals and others: “Just do not eat those who chew gum and have cloven hooves: a camel, because it chews gum, but its hooves are not bifurcated, it’s unclean for you ; ... and the hare, because he chews gum, but his hooves are not forked, he is unclean for you; and pigs, because her hooves are bifurcated and the incision is deep in the hooves, but she does not chew gum, it is unclean for you; do not eat their meat and do not touch their corpses; they are unclean to you. ” Leviticus 11: 3-8)
4. Eat seafood: for example, lobster, squid
Oh, vacation ... you decided to go to one of the countries famous for excellent seafood, and imagined how you would eat shrimps, washed down with excellent wine: Portugal, Spain, Thailand or India. You can only sympathize ... because, according to the Bible, you can’t eat seafood: “All those who do not have feathers and scales, whether in the seas, or rivers, from all floating in the waters and from all living in the waters, are bad for you; they must be filthy for you: do not eat their meat and abhor their dead bodies ”(Leviticus 11: 10-11)
3. Marry or get married a second time
If you understand that you live with a person with whom relations do not work out: different characters or goals, and want to try relations with another person - you can’t do this! You have already chosen the person with whom you are now, stay with him ... "He said to them: whoever divorces his wife and marries another, he commits adultery from her; and if a wife divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery. ” (Mark 10: 11-12) But this is not all - the Bible has many prohibitions between a woman and a man, even married.
2. Getting married "unclean"
If you don’t want to marry, but just live or meet a person, and then suddenly decide to marry, maybe another person, then violate the Bible law: “If what is said is true, and there is no virginity in the youth, Then let the young woman be brought to the door of her father’s house, and the inhabitants of the city will stone her with death to death, for she did a shameful thing in the midst of Israel, having committed fornication in her father’s house; and [so] consume evil from among you. ” (Deuteronomy 22: 21-22)
1. Work on Saturdays
This law must be adhered not only to Christians, but also to Jews. On Saturday, on Shabbat (holy day) - it is forbidden to do any work. Everyone needs to explain this in our time, because even on weekends we do not stop thinking about business, and this is normal. Now everyone is trying to achieve something, discarding entertainment and relaxation. But if you still want to step back from business, then the words from the Bible may interest you: “And keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you: whoever defiles it will be put to death” (Exodus 13: 14-15)
